I am stunned by Tata 3G. I was able to acheive around 6 to 7 MBPS speed. This is not a company endorsed comment. I am a real person from Chandigarh.
You all might now be getting a speed above 3 MBPS for sure. and its obvious. I have a reason to tell.
I am a big fan of BSNL 3G from last one year. I have been using it to download heavy files at a fast speed. I used to get around 2 MBPS speed on average, sometimes 170KBPS and sometimes even 290KBPS + in Internet download manager and in torrent, I used to get around 150 to 200 KBPS speed.
I recently saw that BSNL advertised its 7.2 MBPS data cards so was furious why I am not getting a that much speed on my Nokia N82. What I found was my phone supported maximum 3.2 MBPS for 3G. I searched the net for new mobiles with higher 3G speed. I found one Nokia C5 with a 10.2 MBPS 3G capability and other things like Symbian phone, and good sound. I purchased the Nokia C5 for the higher speed 3G thing. But when I used it with BSNL, I coundnt get a single KB increase. I was still getting the same 2MBPS or max 3MBPS speeds.
Recently Docomo launched 3G on Diwali and gave 100MB to test. I also saw in advertisement that Docomo has a 21 MBPS network. I went to give it a try. Now what I saw was a shock for me. I was getting a 700 KBPS download speed in Internet download manager on average. It shot upto 850+ in between. I also tested it with speedtest.net which confirmed a 5.7MBPS speed.
I am not a newbie so my speed calculations cannot be challenged.
So Guys, India is seeing a huge makeover. A next generation Internet access is on your way. Be sure, the cellphone u purchase should not only be 3G supported but also supports 7MB + 3G capability.
Hope you guys love my big lengthy and interesting comment.
